Originally established as a state-led agricultural project, Temi Tea estate was built on a former Sherpa village and represents the smallest Indian state of Sikkim as its only tea production site. Shaped by Tibetan Buddhism, the former kingdom remains home to different communities connected by a layered history. Sikkim is fiercely protective of its natural habitat and has outlawed the use of chemicals and pesticides. Temi’s teas are shaped by the estate’s location on the natural slopes and are known for their clarity, balance, and freshness.
