Meet the Maker

Jun Chiyabari Tea Garden, Nepal

In the mountains surrounding Hile, high altitude, misty weather, and cool temperatures cause tea leaves to grow slowly, developing structure and intense fragrance. Here, two brothers from Kathmandu founded Jun Chiyabari, which translates to Moon Tea Garden. Inspired by their memories of growing up surrounded by tea, they are realizing their vision by combining different cultivars and styles and introducing East Asian methods alongside classic Himalayan tea varieties. Their certified organic teas embody a vitality and freshness unique to Nepal.
